Dr Colin McGrath
Meet Dr Colin McGrath, who has been a dentist for around 20 years, much of that spent treating patients in the military. He brings that same generous level of time spent with patients to Wonder of Wellness, along with two decades of experience. A husband and father of three, soon to be four, Colin is looking forward to supporting families and children.
Colin pursued dentistry for the way it combines science with helping people. For him, one of the greatest perks of the job is taking a patient from a nervous, unconfident situation to one where they feel happy with themselves and with dentistry. His master's degree in 2020 gave him a wider skill set to carry out full-mouth dentistry, helping people move from a broken-down state to something they can be proud of, and he finds real fulfilment in treating nervous children too, building a confidence that can pass through generations.
In this video, Colin shares what heart-led care means to him: communication and active listening, truly getting to know what a patient wants to achieve, along with their goals and limitations, so they can reach a positive outcome together. He wants patients to feel understood, and builds trust by going through treatment plans clearly and taking the time necessary to understand one another.
Colin also shares what drew him to Wonder of Wellness - its position at the leading edge of biological dentistry in the UK, its whole-body approach, and the time and patient flow that make it exceptional. Since having children, he's been on his own journey towards natural, toxic-free living, and looks forward to empowering patients through conversations about nutrition, breathing, breath work, and exercise.
Outside of work, Colin loves being in nature and exercising with his friends and family. He has a little land which the family is rewilding, along with a calisthenics gym, and enjoys running, planting native trees, and spending time among British wildlife.
